SafeHand ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SafeHand Chrome extension and the web dashboard at safehand.app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Etsy Ads data: The extension reads advertising metrics visible on your Etsy Ads page (ROAS, spend, clicks, orders, listing titles). This data is scraped locally from your own browser session and sent to our servers only to power your dashboard.
Account information: Email address and password (hashed) when you create a SafeHand account.
Usage data: Settings you configure (kill switch thresholds, alert email, dayparting schedule) stored in your account.
Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

To display your Etsy Ads dashboard and analytics
To operate the kill switch and send alert emails on your behalf
To manage your subscription via Stripe
To send optional weekly summary emails if you opt in

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Data is stored in the EU West region. We retain your scraped ads data for 90 days.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

Supabase — database infrastructure
Stripe — payment processing
Resend — transactional email delivery

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

storage — save your settings locally
alarms — schedule periodic ROAS checks
scripting / activeTab — read Etsy Ads data from your active tab
notifications — show kill switch alerts
host_permissions (etsy.com) — access your Etsy Ads page only

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@safehand.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

The web dashboard uses a session cookie for authentication only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

SafeHand is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you by email or by updating the date above.
